Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design/setup/operate Big Data technologies and dev/test/production environments for data integration, analytics, knowledge management on our Schaeffler Data & Analytics Cloud Platform
  • Design/implement/operate CI/CD tool chains, ETL data ingestion and data integration pipelines
  • Perform system administration, monitoring and maintenance of containerized & virtualized service components and technologies, including the Schaeffler Data Lake and Data Virtualization Platform
  • Implement/operate ETL & streaming tools, messaging, analytics & machine learning services
  • Steer/collaborate with internal & external service providers, consultants and operations Partners

Your Qualifications

  • Qualified vocational training or university degree in technical informatics, computer science, software engineering, systems engineering or comparable qualifications
  • Comfortable working in Linux and Bash with a passion for Automation, Logging, and Monitoring
  • Relevant experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience working with Cloud Environments (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure preferred)
  • Experience with Cloud Automation & Configuration Mgmt Tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience working with Containers (e.g., Docker + Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm)
  • Good knowledge of Python (or Java)
  • Experience with Distributed Computing Frameworks (Hadoop, Spark), Database Administration, Ticketing-Systems (ServiceNow) and Data Integration/ETL/SQL is a strong plus
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English; proficiency in German is a plus
