Refiners grind the fiber material for the pulp preparation process. Pretreated wood chips or a thickened fiber suspension are fed between the refiner disks that are equipped with blades. Extremely high speeds in combination with high loads have to be accommodated. The shaft is guided axially by a sliding bearing and radially by two special cylindrical roller bearings. Oil circulation lubrication with oil injected directly to the bearings is the standard.
