Bearing Failure Analysis and Redesign Improves Plant Availability

The customer Sasin Mine Co., Ltd. in Thailand faced an increase of damages to his vibrating screen bearings. Schaeffler carried out a failure analysis on-site at the customer. The results indicated that the bearings failed due to wrong loads. Based on this result Schaeffler then supported the customer in optimizing the design of the bearing arrangement.
