IAA Public Days : “Schaeffler DTM Experience” with Martin Tomczyk / Live Demonstrations of Repair Procedures

2011-09-13 | Langen

From the first public day on September 17, 2011, the Schaeffler stand will offer visitors the opportunity to participate in the “Schaeffler DTM Experience”. In addition the Aftermarket division, responsible for the global automotive aftermarket business of Schaeffler Group Automotive, will present “live” demonstrations of repair procedures in the adjacent “pit lane” (Hall 5.1, Stand A04).

The “Schaeffler DTM Experience” will give fair visitors the chance to test their driving skills and reaction times. Racing simulators, simulating vehicle movements true to the original via vibrations, will be used for friendly competitions. A special challenge is planned for the winners of the two semifinal races. On the same day and on the Schaeffler stand they will compete in the final against Martin Tomczyk, Schaeffler brand ambassador and successful pilot of the Schaeffler Audi A4 in the 2011 DTM series. An attractive grand prize is waiting for the best finalist – a VIP package for two people to attend the final DTM race of the season on October 23, 2011 at the Hockenheimring.

Whether it’s on the race track or on the road, original equipment or replacement parts – the three Schaeffler brands LuK, INA and FAG are known for their power of innovation, outstanding customer orientation and quality management worldwide. Just as in motorsports, the precision fit and reliability of the components matters in every normal vehicle repair. Quality, customer proximity, innovative power and flexibility are just as important as precision-fitting replacement parts in original quality manufactured to meet the specifications and quality standards of automobile manufacturers.

What professional repairs and parts replacement using spare parts in original equipment quality look like will be demonstrated as of September 17, 2011 directly on the stand. In ten-minute practical and descriptive presentations a variety of procedures – from assessing the functionality of a LuK dual-mass flywheel, to replacing an INA overrunning alternator pulley, will be demonstrated directly on the work-bench.

We look forward to welcoming you to the IAA 2011 “Schaeffler DTM Experience” from September 17-25 in Frankfurt.
