Data Engineer (m/f/d) Remote Option

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, govern, build, and operate solutions for large-scale data architectures and applications across businesses and functions
• Select, manage, work hands-on with Big Data tools and frameworks, and implement ETL tools and processes as well as data virtualization and federation services
• Administration and ongoing automation of numerous operational processes based on DevOps technologies such as GitHub, Jenkins and relevant cloud services
• Engineer data integration pipelines and reusable data services using cross-functional data models and data integration solutions
• Define and implement policies for data ingestion, retention, lineage, access, data service API management and usage, in collaboration with Corp. Data Management and IT functions
• Define, implement and apply data governance policies for all data flows of data architectures with focus on the Digital Platform and Data Lake
• Member of the agile product team providing customer solutions, and support operational tasks in a hands-on manner

Your Qualifications

• University degree in (Applied) Computer Science/Software Engineering, or akin qualification
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources and IT systems, e. g. ERP/SAP, DWH/SAP-BW, Web Services, CRM/Salesforce, MES, etc.
• Knowledge of ETL techniques and frameworks, such as ADF, and PowerCenter
• Relevant knowledge in working with Cloud environments and services, preferably with Azure
• Advanced experience in BI environment and tools, preferably in Power BI
• Experienced in data modeling (ER, UML) and proficiency in SQL as well as expertise with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Postgres
• Thorough understanding of Data Engineering and Data Science
• Experienced in DevOps (CI/CD, cloud-based), and in agile environments as well as ERP/SAP experience beneficial
• Fluent in English spoken and written, German is also beneficial
• At ease interacting with people within and outside of the organization as well as strong analytical skills and ability to focus
