TAKRAF GmbH, a globally-operating supplier of equipment for mining applications and conveyor equipment of all types, needed a heating device to heat large and heavy gearbox components like gears and rolling bearings. Within the framework of the Global Technology Network several Schaeffler specialists worked together and developed specially for this application a device that can generate sufficient electric power required for such large components – the FAG Heater5000.
