Reconditioning of Bearings in a Roller Press

During the overhaul of two roller presses, the intention was to replace the main bearings as well. While the customer in Kazakhstan, active in the gold mining industry, had kept the corresponding bearings in stock, these replacement bearings had in the meantime suffered damage due to incorrect storage measures. Schaeffler was therefore given the contract to recondition these bearings rapidly and effectively on site. The objective was to prevent expensive downtime and lost production as well as to ensure the problem-free continued operation of the roller presses.
