To maintain the lifetime of bearings in e-mobility powertrains, preventive measures against parasitic bearing currents are essential, in particular for the newest generation of drive systems. The VoltPath Shunt bearing is an efficient countermeasure to prevent bearing damage caused by capacitive discharge currents (EDM). This bearing is characterized by the integration of a grounding element with high conductivity in the bearing.
