  • The FAG OPTIME C1 Pro is the latest single-point lubrication solution to be added to Schaeffler’s range of smart lubricators
  • Fully electromechanical for even greater reliability and flexibility in use
  • Running time of up to 24 months and three cartridge sizes to cover a wide range of applications

A new addition to Schaeffler’s range of smart lubricators: the new FAG OPTIME C1 Pro single-point lubricator is now available, promising even greater flexibility, transparency about the system status, and operational reliability for industrial systems.

Reliable lubrication is an invisible but critical cornerstone of industrial maintenance. Inadequate lubrication of rolling bearings can lead to premature wear, unplanned downtime, and higher maintenance costs. And that is precisely where the Motion Technology Company Schaeffler comes in with its range of smart lubricators that help users to design maintenance processes that are tailored to their needs, efficient, and predictable.

“With the FAG OPTIME C1 Pro, we are strategically expanding our range of smart lubricators to maximize the benefits for our customers. We want to offer users solutions that make lubrication easier, more flexible, and more reliable – and in doing so, make a real contribution to improving system availability,” says Christian Ploner, Product Manager for Smart Lubrication at Schaeffler Industrial Lifetime Solutions.

Schaeffler’s well-established OPTIME C1 and FAG OPTIME C4 lubricators help make smart lubrication systems simpler and more transparent. The new FAG OPTIME C1 Pro expands this product family to include another fully electromechanical single-point lubricator that is designed for exceptionally flexible and reliable operation. Compared with the hybrid OPTIME C1, which operates electromechanically and using gas, it opens up additional possibilities in terms of use and control.

With a running time of up to 24 months, a pressure capacity of up to 15 bar and lubricant cartridges that come in three sizes (60, 120 and 240 cm³), the FAG OPTIME C1 Pro can be adapted to meet a range of requirements. This broadens its range of applications across a wide variety of industrial settings, for example, in motors, pumps, ventilators, and conveyor systems.

App-controllable as part of the OPTIME Ecosystem
Meanwhile, its operation remains closely tied to the digital capabilities of OPTIME. For example, via the OPTIME app, users can suspend lubricant dispensing during maintenance work. This helps avoid unnecessary lubricant consumption.

The product is currently available in Europe, North America, and South Korea, with more countries set to follow.

The OPTIME C1, the FAG OPTIME C4, and the new FAG OPTIME C1 Pro mark a further step in Schaeffler’s ongoing development of smart lubrication systems – away from reactive maintenance and toward greater control, availability, and efficiency in overall system operation.
