Organizational Optimization – We successfully analyzed the current resource allocation in the sales and demand management area and determined an optimized organizational setup.

Client Situation

As there were no dedicated demand management (DM) personnel in A/P, the current setup and execution of DM activities differed across sales areas. Consequently, uncertainty remained regarding the execution of DM activities and the correct allocation of resources across the different locations. A holistic view of all functions and sales areas was indispensable to define an improved organizational setup.

Objectives

  • Increased transparency through KPIs and internal benchmarking in the demand management area
  • Understanding of the value drivers in the DM area to allow improvements in the operating model
  • Transparency of the optimal (sweet spot) balance of dimensions (e.g., number of FTE, sales volume, PO lines)
  • Direct, quick, and systematic determination of improvement potentials across all sales areas
