Schaeffler's Automotive Aftermarket division officially inaugurated its new global headquarters in Frankfurt’s Gateway Gardens district in Germany on July 21, 2022. The Automotive Aftermarket is responsible for Schaeffler's global spare parts business and makes an important contribution to the overall success of Schaeffler AG. The new location in the De-Saint-Exupéry-Strasse is close to the Frankfurt Airport and offers employees and customers optimal connections to all means of transportation in the center of an attractive office district.

"With the move from Langen to Frankfurt, we are on the one hand strengthening our global Automotive Aftermarket headquarters and at the same time transferring it into a new and modern work environment," emphasizes Jens Schüler, CEO Automotive Aftermarket at Schaeffler. On around 6,000 square meters of office space, the New Work concept breaks away from outdated structures. The workplace of the future is more flexible, open and digital.

New-Work is focused on the needs of employees

“The new headquarters of the Aftermarket division in Frankfurt is one of the largest office spaces in line with the Schaeffer New Work standard that we have realized in Europe. New Work at Schaeffler means, among other things, adapting the work environment to the needs of employees and supporting hybrid working - on-site, at home, or on the road," explains Stefan Münch, Head of Corporate Real Estate Management at Schaeffler. The Schaeffler New Work concept is implemented with agile workspaces in a multi-space office environment and offers various modern workspaces in open as well as closed room modules. In addition to 240 standard workstations, the approximately 350 employees in Frankfurt have access to numerous collaboration areas, meeting rooms, project rooms, and phone booths, as well as other alternative workstation options.

Exchange, open communication, and collaboration

"The new working environment allows employees to interact quickly an in a flexible way. Tasks can be approached in an agile manner and there is plenty of space for creativity and new ideas. Our new location and New Work are important building blocks for us to position ourselves as an attractive employer. The are key factors for our future success," adds Jens Schüler.
