  • Tobias Mohr to take over sales leadership for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux starting October 1st, 2025
  • Increased customer proximity and stronger market presence under the overall responsibility of Jürgen Steinsberger

The independent aftermarket is undergoing major change: digitalization, new mobility concepts, and rising customer expectations are fundamentally shaping the industry. Against this backdrop, the Schaeffler division Vehicle Lifetime Solutions (VLS) has realigned its sales structure for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, effective October 1, 2025. The goal is to strengthen sales presence across the region and deliver tailored solutions to the independent aftermarket even faster.

“This realignment creates the optimal conditions for sustainable growth. Our focus is on further expanding our strong market position in the DACH region and Benelux countries. We will achieve this through clearly defined responsibilities and a close integration of sales and marketing, driving synergies and enhancing our competitiveness,” explains Jürgen Steinsberger, Manager for the DACH and Benelux subregion at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions.

As of October 1, 2025, Tobias Mohr will assume the role of Sales Manager DACH and Benelux. The 38-year-old has been with Schaeffler since 2017 and brings extensive sales experience from various leadership roles – including as Regional Sales Manager Southern Germany, and most recently as Head of Platform Sales Europe in Digital Sales at Schaeffler VLS.

“Our ambition is to actively shape the future of mobility as a reliable partner. We understand our customers’ needs and work with them to drive forward key topics such as electrification, connectivity, and sustainability. This strengthens our partnerships and ensures long-term success together,” says Tobias Mohr.

New key account structure: stronger regional support

The previous sales managers will take on key account responsibilities moving forward:

  • Christian Pillen, previously Sales Manager for Northern Germany and Benelux, will now serve as Key Account Manager
  • Klaus Herrmann, formerly Sales Manager for Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, will become Key Account Manager for national distributors.

The sales team is further strengthened by additional experts: Marcel Lenz as Key Account Manager, and Gerd Kortmann with key account responsibility for heavy commercial vehicles in DACH and Benelux.

Regional market support will be handled by: Pascal Stein (Northern Germany), Sven Bierganns-Woehlken (Western Germany), Steffen Mertner (Eastern Germany), Markus Gillessen (Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), and Didier Gilson (Benelux).
